IFTTT Integration

Integration guide for IFTTT with Teebly

IFTTT (If This Then That) is a service that allows you to connect Teebly with hundreds of other apps and services through automated applets. This guide explains how to use Teebly's triggers in your IFTTT applets.

Connecting Teebly to IFTTT

  1. Sign in to your IFTTT account or create a new one.
  2. Go to the Teebly for business service page on IFTTT.
  3. Click "Get started today" and sign in with your Teebly business account.
  4. Authorize the connection between IFTTT and your Teebly account.

Available triggers

Teebly provides the following triggers for IFTTT:

TriggerDescription
Bay ActiveTriggered when a simulator bay changes to the active state.
Bay InactiveTriggered when a simulator bay changes to the inactive state.

A simulator bay doesn't become inactive after every booking. If you have back-to-back bookings, the bay will remain active until there's a break.

Creating an applet with Teebly triggers

  1. Create a new applet.
  2. Click on "If This" and search for "Teebly For Business".
  3. Select one of the available Teebly triggers.
  4. Configure the trigger settings as needed (which bay, etc.)

Note: You must have simulator bays created in your Teebly dashboard to select them as a trigger source.

  1. Click on "Then That" to choose an action from any supported service.
  2. Configure the action details and complete your applet setup.
  3. Give your applet a name and click "Finish".

Example use cases

  • Turn on / off smart switches when a bay becomes active
  • Send notifications to a Slack channel when a bay turns on / off

Important notes

  • If a booking is cancelled during the session, the bay inactive trigger will not be sent.

  • In rare cases, applets will fail to run. Each applet has three points of failure.

    1. The Teebly trigger fails to send the event to IFTTT.
    2. IFTTT fails to process the event.
    3. The applet action service fails to complete the action.

You can check the activity log in the respective IFTTT applet to see why it is failing.

If Teebly is responsible for the failure and experiencing issues, you can check our status page for any ongoing incidents.

If IFTTT is responsible, you can check their status page for any ongoing incidents.

If the applet action service is responsible, you will need to check their status page or contact their support for assistance.
