Nuki Smart Locks
Connect Teebly to Nuki to enable automated access control
Overview
Founded in Austria in 2013, Nuki is a smart lock manufacturer specializing in retrofit solutions that attach to existing deadbolts. The company launched its first Smart Lock in 2016, designed to enable keyless entry through a smartphone app with features for access sharing and activity tracking. Nuki's product line includes Smart Locks, the Nuki Opener for intercom access control and Keypads for PIN or fingerprint entry. With Teebly's integration, you can easily manage your Nuki devices and provide automated access to your customers.
Prerequisites
Prepare Your Nuki Account
Before connecting to Teebly, complete these setup steps in your Nuki account:
1. Set up the Nuki mobile app
Download the Nuki app and create an account if you don't have one. Add all your Nuki devices (locks, bridges, keypads) to the app and ensure they're functioning properly.
2. Install required hardware
For Nuki devices that require it, ensure your Nuki Bridge is installed and connected to your Wi-Fi network. The Bridge enables remote access to your locks.
3. Access Nuki Web
In a web browser, navigate to Nuki Web and click Go To Nuki Web. Log in using your Nuki app credentials to access the web portal.
4. Verify device connectivity
In Nuki Web, confirm all your locks appear in the device list and show as online. Check that the Bridge (if applicable) has a stable connection to your network.
5. Note your login credentials
Record your Nuki app email and password. You'll need these credentials to connect your Nuki account to Teebly.
6. Test lock operation
Use the Nuki app to lock and unlock each device to verify they're responding correctly before connecting to Teebly.
Connect Your Devices to Teebly
Once your Nuki account is properly configured, you can connect them to Teebly:
- Log into the Teebly Dashboard
- Navigate to Operations > Access Control
- Click Add devices
- Select Nuki from the list of available access control providers
- Enter your Nuki app credentials
- Select the Nuki lock device you want to be accessible to your customers during their bookings
Testing Your Integration
This will send a live unlock command to the selected Nuki device. Ensure that it is safe to do so before proceeding.
After connecting your devices in Teebly, test that the unlock functionality works as expected:
- Navigate to Operations > Access Control
- Click the Test active device button
If the test is successful and your device unlocks, your integration is complete! Your customers will now be able to access your facility during their bookings.
Monitoring Access Requests
Teebly logs all access requests for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes. You can find access requests for the last 30 days by navigating to Operations > Door Access Logs.
Logs are also accessible within individual booking details and are not limited to the last 30 days.
Note: All requests with a "Granted" status indicate that Teebly authorized the request and sent an unlock command to the door reader.
This does not guarantee that the device has received or successfully processed the unlock command. Factors such as network connectivity, device functionality, or physical obstructions at the door may prevent the door from unlocking.
